Current status of the USS Hadhafang

Considering my current review is going to be very much STAR TREK related, this might be very appropriate! :D So anyway, doing okay, generally -- went swimming, which helped lift my mood a bit from the news. Also, got around to watching STAR TREK (the 2009 film). How was it? As good as I remember it, if not better!

To boldly go where no man has gone be -- spoilers! Also, warning for possibly upsetting content discussed. And rambling/meta. )

Honestly, it was an awesome movie. I know some may not necessarily agree (it's rather polarizing, after all), but honestly? In my opinion, it's fantastic. Definitely recommended. :)

So, got caught up on the DOCTOR WHO episode "Cold War"...

...and it was excellent! Really, really excellent. Loved it.
Adventures in time and -- spoilers! )So overall? Loved it. I suppose that making it a two-parter would have also worked if only to provide more time to sort of build up the threat of the Ice Warrior and the ultimate payoff, but really? Damn good episode. Definitely recommended.

Current Status of the USS Hadhafang

Doing good for the most part. Getting off my period. Also had a snafu yesterday on Tumblr, and there's the matter of student meetings tomorrow to pick classes (and if that won't get me to sleep easier, who knows what will. :P). So yeah, generally stressed. And it doesn't help in regards to...other things that have happened.

On a brighter note, got around to finally ordering Season 7b of DOCTOR WHO. Had "The Snowmen" Christmas special apparently sold separately from the rest of the series. Anyway, watched "The Bells of Saint John". How was it? Really, really good!
Adventures in time and -- spoilers! )

So overall? Loved it. Definitely recommended.

Current status of the USS Hadhafang

Generally doing okay. Had a few setbacks (also, worried a bit about my homework, but I'm sure I can do it), but I'm fine. Anyway, I watched the DOCTOR WHO episode "The Girl Who Waited" (i.e. Yet Another Amy Pond Must Suffer Episode). And it was amazing, but...goddamn, so sad. ;.;

Adventures in time and -- spoilers! )

So yeah...heartbreaking as hell, but definitely recommended. It's just a generally well-told, affecting story, complete with an ending that...well, it may make you cry. I know I started crying as well during the episode. But yeah, give it a watch. Bring tissues, though.

Status report.

Thankfully doing better in the being moody department. Had a few bad spots tonight (such as when my mom started arguing with my brother. That wasn't fun. :/), but otherwise doing well. At least, I'm doing better. The clouds have cleared a bit.

Anyway, we watched the DOCTOR WHO episode "Cold Blood". Amazing episode, but... *bawling*

Adventures in time and -- spoilers! )

Overall? Fucking amazing. Definitely a must see.

So, got back from watching PLANET OF THE DEAD and THE WATERS OF MARS.

You know how I said going from "The Doctor's Daughter" to "The Unicorn And The Wasp" was quite the exercise in Mood Whiplash? Same here. I mean, for "Planet of the Dead" you got this really honestly fun special with a really hopeful ending, and for "The Waters of Mars"... *Sighs* Three words: Time Lord Victorious. Do I need to say anything else?

(Well, okay, I do, but that's what the cut is for)

Adventures in time and -- spoilers! Also warning for some triggering/upsetting content. )

So overall? Both amazing episodes. Definitely recommend. :)

So, got back from watching "Utopia", "Sound of Drums" and "Last of the Time Lords"...

...and God, such wonderful episodes, but boy were they sad. Or at least draining.

Adventures in time and -- spoilers! )

So yeah...loved them. Definitely recommend. :) (And yeah, I came close to crying during those episodes. I really did, I will admit)

Catching up on DOCTOR WHO.

Did a bit of a triple feature tonight (thanks in part to (a) me having a rather bad day, and (b) my brother wanting to watch the episode with the Carrionites). Basically, yes, we are on Season Three now, obviously. Was initially a bit nervous (I mean, I love Donna and Martha, but there was a part of me still really missing Rose. Personally, I'd love to see all three in the TARDIS. Along with Amy, Rory, Clara and River, but I digress. :), but let's say that watching these episodes, I'm starting to fall in love with Martha and Donna all over again.

So overall? Love. These. Episodes. So recommended. <3

So, got back from watching the DOCTOR WHO episode "Doomsday".

Or rewatching it, at least. Anyway, amazing episode, just as good as I remember it, but sweet Jesus was it heartbreaking. (Yeah, I know, "Doomsday" is heartbreaking. Film at eleven. :P)

Adventures in time and -- spoilers! )

So yeah, I recommend it -- but with plenty of tissues on standby. Seriously. (And yeah, I'll admit I was sort of a wreck at the end of this episode)

Wonderful episode, but goddamn it was just so sad.
