I think it's because, other than Anakin/Palpatine, I have a hard time seeing slash because a lot of it isn't believable. But with the nature of Elder Scrolls, so open ended, and that they officially made it possible to romance and marry same sex in Skyrim, it's a lot more believable.

I've slashed a lot of my original characters in my original fics for years, m/m and f/f.

I can't see Harry/Draco. There is good fic out there on them, but I can't get into them, for example.

It's all in storage and needs to be rewritten anyways. One very major character is bi and prefers men. He just turned out that way, not as a kink.

Don't worry; I'll admit, neither can I. TBF, one could make the arguments in regards to how Harry behaved towards Draco in HBP (with a sort of determination to incriminate him that would make Inspector Javert uncomfortable), but still...*shrugs* I just can't see them together together, really. (Call me odd. :)

Ah, makes sense. :) And that's pretty cool -- it's sort of like a character arc thing! :D

I don't think it's odd. I don't see Draco/Hermione either. It's not a hate covering secret crush thing. They simply detest each other, are not in any way attracted to each other, end of story.

I've seen a few good Dramione fics, but other than that...yeah. They're probably not exactly the "together together" type either, to say the least.
