Yep. It's definitely that time when I'm going to rec another song. (Because I'm a music nut like that)

Over The Hills And Far Away by Nightwish

Because this is made of awesome, really. Everything about it, the guitar riffs, just about everything -- it's perfection. I guess the only bad thing about it is that it kind of makes me feel really sad listening to it -- really melancholy, really. Then again, a lot of Nightwish's stuff does that to me. Great band, really depressing.

Not that that's a bad thing, of course.

Completed my AOTC icons. *Sighs* I'm tired -- and for some reason a little sad. (Hell's wrong with my moods?)

And a song rec: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeVHM1IoNyQ.

If any of you have watched BEAUTY AND THE BEAST on Broadway, you'll know this song well. Let's say John Barrowman absolutely nails it, IMHO. It helps that he has a damn awesome voice. :) I still have a soft spot for the original version by Terrence Mann, though:

It may take a while for some to get used to, but it's awesome nonetheless. And considering how the Beast is supposed to be a very dark, brooding character, it's fitting. Let's say both versions rock, really. They both really make you pity the Beast, perhaps even more than the Disney version -- and considering what an awesome job Robby Benson did in the original film, that says volumes. :)

And now, off to write. It's been a long while.

...I figured it was time for another song rec, of course! :D

Tim Burton/Amy Lee geekery under cut )

It's not every day a cover surpasses the original, but somehow, I think Amy Lee's version managed to do it.

Also, Fiona Apple's version, in case you're interested:
