So, not gonna lie, I am terrified. Shaking, actually. I thought I would be happy to see the end of 2016, but 2017 and all it promises are utterly terrifying. I guess in a way, my New Year's Resolutions are going to be less resolutions and more of a survival guide.

1. I will get better at practicing self-care. Fortunately, I have the necessary tools, just for starters.

2. I will continue to write.

3. I will work further in achieving independence. I'm actually thinking after I graduate, going on to a regular college as opposed to a community college. Then grad school, and then I'm out. Even if it takes years, I still want to complete my education and get a degree.

4. I will work more on replying to comments and posting.

5. I will try and get my mental health under control.

6. I will continue to write no matter what.

And those are just starters, of course. I might add more to this little survival guide as time goes on, but those are just starting points.

Jesus, can't believe it's already the New Year. Anyway, kind of nervous about this year, kind of excited. So I'm excited-nervous. Yeah, that's a good word for it. Going to be going back to college on the thirteenth, for instance, so I'll have to be ready. Have to take Communications and English, though, fortunately I might actually not be bad at both those things.

So, New Year's resolutions.

1. I'm going to do better in school. I mean, I did fine the first half of last year, but the second half of last year...well, I did great in Film and Lit, but my French suffered due to stress. So I'm going to actually try and get better grades this semester.

2. I will get more sleep. Yeah, I'm probably going to break this resolution again, but I need my sleep. Especially considering that Communications may or may not involve public speaking, and I can't exactly give presentations while sleep-deprived.

3. I will read a book every day. Or do something to expand my horizons every day.

4. I'll try not to worry so much. Or at least save the worry for the important stuff.

5. I will get plenty of exercise.

6. I will work, in ways large and small, on being more independent.

7. I will try to worry less about what other people think. (Well, except when it matters)

8. I will try and talk to people on LJ, etc. more.

9. I will continue to work on my writing.

10. I will look after my brother and my dog.

11. I will be compassionate and kind.

12. I will focus less on the negative.

13. I will try and get involved in causes that matter to me.

14. I will learn to drive. Seriously, it's been, what, four years now? So I'm going to at one point go back to Driver's Ed and learn to drive. (And try not to panic in the process)

15. I will get a job somewhere. At least a job that will earn a good amount of money. Maybe working in a bookstore or at a newspaper or something?

16. I will try not to panic as I go through this year.

Those are the resolutions I've thought up thus far. What are yours? I'm curious.

So, 2012. *Sighs in relief* I'm almost relieved to put that year behind me. Because while there were some good bits of 2012, most of it was...really rocky and something I'd prefer to forget. In terms of resolutions... I'm pretty sure that I'll find more, but these are just a few of my resolutions. *Sighs*

Jesus, I have a lot... )
So, what about you guys?
 What are yours?

Currently groggy as fuck (let's say I didn't sleep well last night), but relatively satisfied. :)

Speaking of not getting enough sleep, here are my New Year's Resolutions! :D *Hopefully I'll be able to keep them*

Because seriously? I was f**ked up last year. Hopefully, I'll be able to reverse it. )

How about you guys? What are your resolutions? :)
