In your own space, write about a moment in fandom that meant a lot to you. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
There are quite a few things that meant a lot to me in fandom, but I remember that in 2011, just discussing stuff like KOTOR with
darth_eldritch and many others was one of my favorite memories. I think there was something about just discussing the matter of KOTOR, our favorite characters, finding fellow fans, and getting to rant about the retcons that Dark Horse and Bioware were making (plus having some appreciation for the minor characters like Lieutenant Grenn) that was just really fun. I admit I miss those days, and it's one of those reasons I am admittedly sad about KOTOR being made non-canon. There are admittedly things in the old Legendsverse that I'm glad aren't canon anymore, but KOTOR I am actually sad is noncanonical. Then again, I think not all hope is lost -- they did bring back Thrawn, so hopefully, a KOTOR resurrection is not too far in the distant future. (Plus, the design of Kylo's armor had to come from somewhere. It's not completely like Revan's but it shows some influences)
But yeah, just chatting about KOTOR, hanging out at kotor_legends, writing KOTOR fanfic...that was one of my favorite fandom memories.
