Day 01 - What is your current favorite ship?
That's a good question. I admit I haven't been keeping up with media much lately. Although I am almost tempted (almost) to come over to the Rey/Kylo side of things. I am definitely more of a Rey/Finn kind of girl, but I won't deny the former actually does have some groundwork. Mostly on Kylo's end -- for starters, Rey seems to be the sole person that Kylo actually legitimately likes, there's him taking his mask off so she'll feel more comfortable with him, there's him offering to train her, there's the fact he's not incapable of gentleness during the interrogation scene, there's him basically gushing over her to Snoke...however you want to interpret it, I think he does like her. And then there's the fan art, which is surprisingly high quality stuff. And then there was that one genderflipped cast I did where I briefly considered shipping them both.
Honestly, romantic or no, I like the relationship either way. It's an interesting dynamic. In a shipping verse, though (separate from my main verse I usually draw my headcanons from), I might depart from the usual "Rey Kenobi" thing and probably make her a Shan instead (as some people have drawn comparisons between Rey and Bastila). Emphasis on "in the shipping verse", though.
