Date: 2016-02-24 02:36 pm (UTC)The character I admire most: River.
The character with a skill, ability, or knowledge that I wish I had: River
The character I'm most attracted to: As a teenager first watching the show, I had a River Tam girlcrush. Now that I'm older, I'd say I'd go with Inara or Zoe (though I definitely found Zoe and Inara gorgeous as well when I was first watching the show).
The character I would most want to hang out with and be the most fun BFFs with: Kaylee, Inara
The character I would most trust with my secrets: Kaylee
The character that I ship with the most other characters in the show/movie: I can't say that I do much shipping, actually.
The character that had the most wasted potential in canon (the character that canon kind of screwed over): Wash
The character I love even though I don't like the actor, -or- a character I don't like even though I love the actor: Jayne. I've got...mixed feelings about Adam Baldwin as of late, but Jayne is awesome.
If the show were to take one of the 'good guy' characters and reveal that she/he was secretly a bad guy all along, which character would I choose?: Shepherd Book
The character that seems most aware of his/her own faults or limits: River Tam
The character that I like way better than I used to: I've gained more appreciation for Inara over the years.

Date: 2016-02-24 02:50 pm (UTC)The most beautiful character: John Harrison/Khan. It's the eyes. He has very expressive eyes.
The character I admire most: Kirk. I know it sounds weird, but mostly I admire his compassion; for example, him trying to reach out to Nero near the end of the 2009 Star Trek movie.
The character with a skill, ability, or knowledge that I wish I had: Uhura. I mean, her trying to negotiate with the Klingons...that took some guts, even if it didn't work. (Then again, I can only assume Marcus was counting on it) And Carol Marcus, who really needs more appreciation from the fandom. I mean, she helped McCoy when he was in a tight spot, and she punched out her asshole dad...two things I really admire.,
The character I'm most attracted to: Kirk or Khan
The character I would most want to hang out with and be the most fun BFFs with: Kirk
The character I would most trust with my secrets: Uhura. She'd definitely lend an understanding ear, at least.
The character that I ship with the most other characters in the show/movie: Not really much of a shipper here.
The character that had the most wasted potential in canon (the character that canon kind of screwed over): While I actually like Nero, I wish more of his backstory had made it into the final film. It's unfortunately more alluded to than anything else.
The character I love even though I don't like the actor, -or- a character I don't like even though I love the actor: I wasn't a big Benedict Cumberbatch fan at first, but he really sold me on Khan (and later that year, Smaug).
If the show were to take one of the 'good guy' characters and reveal that she/he was secretly a bad guy all along, which character would I choose?: Carol Marcus, though she'd be more of a conflicted bad guy than anything else. (Call it an alternate take on her character from Star Trek Into Darkness)
The character that seems most aware of his/her own faults or limits: Spock or McCoy
The character that I like way better than I used to: Spock. He kind of grew on me.

Date: 2016-02-25 04:48 pm (UTC)The character I admire most: Rey, so very much. And from the pre-PT EU, Revan and the Exile. Awesome, awesome characters. (And Rey is just a sweetheart. :3)
The character with a skill, ability, or knowledge that I wish I had: Rey.
The character I'm most attracted to: *Blushing* Anakin, Kylo Ren. (I know, I know -- they're both very, very pretty)
The character I would most want to hang out with and be the most fun BFFs with: Rey, Poe Dameron, Finn, Padme, Anakin, Ahsoka.
The character I would most trust with my secrets: Poe Dameron, BB-8
The character that I ship with the most other characters in the show/movie: Um, can't say.
The character that had the most wasted potential in canon (the character that canon kind of screwed over): Captain Phasma. I mean, you have an awesome look, voice and name, and you decide to dump her in Starkiller Base's garbage disposal? Come on. Also, I kind of wish that some of Andy Serkis' info on Snoke (vulnerable, long-range schemer, etc.) got into the film. Snoke is kind of like TFA's version of Nero from the 2009 Star Trek -- I like him, but I wish more of his backstory made it in there.
The character I love even though I don't like the actor, -or- a character I don't like even though I love the actor: Hux is a great villain, but he's not one of my personal favorites. (But Domnhall Gleeson is awesome)
If the show were to take one of the 'good guy' characters and reveal that she/he was secretly a bad guy all along, which character would I choose?: I admit the Jar-Jar-is-Snoke theory is kind of amusing. ("Bet yousa didn't see that one coming...")
The character that seems most aware of his/her own faults or limits: Finn, Kylo Ren (honestly, confession time? I don't think the guy's emo. Maybe I'm biased because I like conflicted villains, but I don't think he's emo. I do wish we knew what exactly happened to make him who he is, though), Anakin.
The character that I like way better than I used to: I admit that after the EU, I...well, I didn't like Han very much. But TFA definitely made up for it. I mean, Han was cocky, warm, gruff, funny, wise, and in the end, willing to do anything to save his son (even if he got a lightsaber to the chest for his troubles). He was kind of how I pictured an older Han to be, actually. And his interactions with Rey, Leia, Finn, Maz...they were both funny and really, really sweet.
