...and it was really honestly very good! Loved it.

First off, I seriously loved the scene with the Doctor/Mr. Clever playing chess against himself. That was just overall really well-done, and I loved Matt Smith sort of transitioning between the Doctor and Mr. Clever personas -- one being, well, the Doctor, and the other just being really cruel and hammy and manipulative and bizarrely fun to watch. I also loved how they sort of transitioned between the Doctor playing chess while sort of talking to himself and the Doctor and Mr. Clever arguing inside the Doctor's head. *Shivers* Seriously, really well-done, and it honestly felt like the Doctor was sort of fighting from the inside against this sort of mental assault that Mr. Clever has sort of waged on him. (And in case you're wondering why the name "Mr. Clever" has come up...well, that's what the Cyber Planner part of the Doctor's personality sort of named itself) Not to mention when Mr. Clever is rummaging through the Doctor's brain, rummaging through his memories, and finds out about the matter of Clara being the Impossible Girl. That was really chilling, especially when he sort of asks, through the Doctor, about it. There was also the matter of...well, the Doctor changing between personalities in a heartbeat. That was just really scary, especially considering, until he gets free of the damn thing, he's just switching between personalities, with only Clara hitting him (that and earlier with that gold tinfoil) actually bringing him out of it. And it didn't help that occasionally...well, this is going to sound ridiculous, but he actually reminded me a bit of Gollum. Hell, the bits of the Doctor and Mr. Clever arguing from the outside kinda sorta made me start thinking of Smeagol and Gollum arguing, even though the Doctor arguing with himself was a bit more jerky than smooth like the Smeagol/Gollum take was. (And I recognize that I make no sense whatsoever. Sorry) It could be me stretching, but it seriously made me think of that image.

Hell, the Cybermen in general were really creepy. I mean, yeah, there were times when I was a little "huh?" (such as them gaining sudden new superpowers like teleportation), but overall, they were really frightening. Stuff like them taking the kids to be upgraded (thankfully, they get better), and how they can upgrade you with those sort of metal bugs and all...yeah. *Shivers* Here's an awesome video: http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-critic/39451-nostalgia-critic-are-video-games-art.

(Yes, I already recommended it, I know)

I also loved Clara in this one. Just how she took charge of all the soldiers. Seriously, Clara's always been really freaking badass, but this was one of her best moments. Also, the matter of the Emperor (by the way, hi, Warwick Davis! :D)...he was pretty damn cool. Seriously. Just a really honestly nice, badass guy. I liked how he expressed how he felt bad for the man who would have to pull the trigger to kill others (that was a really well-done scene) as well as his goodbye to Clara (as well as heading home). And earlier, when he asks Clara to marry him (also a Crowning Moment of Funny with one of the kids basically saying that if someone asks you if you want to be Queen of the Universe, you say yes). And jokingly threatening them with execution -- that was gold. XD. Also loved much earlier with Angie and Artie having some fun sort of floating on the planet basically...well, before everything subsequently goes to shit. Although it does get better. Also loved Angie and Artie saying goodbye to the Doctor, as well as, much much earlier, the guys fighting against the Cybermen. I think one highlight for me was when one of them blows up the Cyberman with his gun in one shot, and, earlier, when one of the Cybermen upgrades itself to walk through the water. I also loved the look of the theme park and how...well, desolate it looked when they first arrived (very much something out of a NANCY DREW game). Honestly, it was a damn amazing episode. True, it had its odd moments, but overall? It was just really goddamn awesome.

So overall? Loved it. Definitely recommended. :)
