I currently have 57 works archived at AO3. Pick a number from 1 (the most recent) to 57 (the first thing I posted there), and I'll tell you three things I currently like about it.

All right then...

1. The detail of the TARDIS coming alive in a way to comfort the Doctor. Considering his time on the VALIANT (and the TARDIS'. *Shivers*), I think that both of them really need the comfort. That and the fact that after seeing "The Doctor's Wife", I've grown to really love the TARDIS even more. Not sure how well it ties into the parameters of what the TARDIS can do, but it's a sweet touch, as well as him sort of stroking her walls. It really says a lot about the bond they share. (I could write a whole essay at the most about the Doctor and his relationship with the TARDIS)

2. Exploring a bit of the Doctor's personal aftermath after what the Master put him through. Honestly, besides sort of taking the Ninth Doctor and putting him in Ten's shoes, so to speak, I really liked just exploring how Nine would react, etc. And the aftermath of what happened to him. I have a bit of a thing for writing aftermath scenes, where the characters just have time to recover and reflect on what happened to them. Exploring the Doctor and the Master's really complicated relationship definitely is a bonus, if only because it's really fascinating. And exploring how Nine would react to the Master -- I think he'd have a more mixed reaction than Ten (who's kind of complicated on his own -- it's a mixture of wanting to save the Master, wanting to atone for not being able to save his people, and just not wanting to be alone/wanting to be loved. It's one of those traits that really breaks my heart about the poor guy. :( ), still loving the Master in a way and wanting to help (mostly out of a desire to atone, though there's also the fact that he really is a good, kind man under all that roughness), but also hating him for what he did. And exploring the Master a bit, albeit from Nine's point of view -- true, he's a monster, but there's also an element of pathos there considering what he went through. (And really, being the Master has to suck. Using up your regenerations early, having to scavenge for some, being manipulated by the Time Lords all along so they could escape the Time Lock and destroy everything...yeah, it has to suck) So yeah...that was really interesting to explore.

3. I really liked at least mentioning what Rose and the others are doing on the TARDIS -- it adds a bit of life to things, and humanity (one thing I really love about DOCTOR WHO, really). And it kind of is a reminder of things not being completely bad -- I like adding that in my stories. I think that it's pretty valuable. That and the image of the Doctor sort of isolating himself on the TARDIS just writing about what happened just to work through it before going, eventually, to join everyone else -- it's definitely a pretty striking image.
