Plots
For the story I'm writing for my mom, I can't say that I have a plot. I'm mostly writing all of this sort of in a making-this-all-up-as-I-go-along way. I mean, yeah, I guess it doesn't inspire confidence, but writing it all out of order is kind of how I roll.
And for the Astrid Grayson series, it's a young empathic girl living in our world (a sort of different dimension to another world, Gaea -- after the name "Pangaea", which was what the Earth was called before it split off into different continents) before a man named Lord Rage (I know, I'm not terribly good with names. I might amend it in editing) attacks her world, forcing her to flee. I'm also writing a bit of how Lord Rage came to be, and how the Emperor Azra came to be (basically, a man cast out from the heavens for trying to help people before being locked into a mortal, amnesiac form). It's not the most original story ever, but it's fun to write. Although I worry about the final product being dark considering...well, I wrote a lot of it in the throes of a Creator Breakdown. I believe the phrase "Creator Breakdowns are never pretty" definitely comes to mind here.
