Because I think there's a lot of story left to tell, and I don't think they should end it so soon.

Well, it has to end at some point and at five seasons, the show is still going strong. A show is only as good as its team of writers and it's always better to go out on a high note.

Another thing to consider is animations are planned WELL in advance to avoid going over budget so storylines and storyboards are done months before animation starts. As there are three years between the two movies, this would have been considered when the episodes are written.

Considering how well CW is doing, I doubt there would be any decent reason for Disney to decide to axe it, especially as there are DVD sales and toy sales to factor in. Chances are they'll want something showing up until they are ready to release their movie - they may even extend the run if they switch it over to their own network (much like what happened to Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

With the Star Wars/Disney deal, there would be SO many clauses, it'd be ridiculous. The worst being that Disney probably isn't allowed to rerelease the original movies - it will only ever be George's revised editions.

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney decides to break such a clause - can you imagine how much money they would make off that??

That's very true. (Also, I will admit that I didn't really know that about animation! The more you know...)

And yeah, they'd make a hell of a lot of money off that. They really would.
