...and oh my God, how could I have possibly missed this episode? :D It's brilliant! :D :D

Things I Absolutely Loved:

-The Gelth. Wonderfully creepy monsters, seriously. *Shivers*

-The Doctor/Rose moments. Seriously, so much adorableness, like collapsing on the floor of the TARDIS laughing (it's really moments like these that are so damn fun to watch. :), as well as the hand-holding and the "I'm so glad I met you" when it looked like they were about to be killed and sort of assimilated by the Gelth.

-Whoever played Charles Dickens should definitely star in a biopic about the man. I say he was captured perfectly.

-Gwyneth! ;.; (Ahem, sorry) But anyway, I just loved her. I loved her conversation with Rose (and it's really another one of those episodes where I absolutely love Rose Tyler. Seriously. But I'll get to that later), and I loved her later Heroic Sacrifice in order to stop the Gelth. Also, calling out Rose for being accidentally insensitive -- I love Rose dearly, but I can't deny she can sort of be insensitive without knowing it. (Then again, I think we all are, to some extent) And the Doctor kissing her on the forehead before she ultimately struck the match. Just...oh. ;.;

-Rose was amazing in this episode. I mean, I loved her trying to repel the attacking possessed corpses, I loved her bonding with Gwyneth and calling out the Doctor in regards to the Gelth using human corpses as hosts (and a pretty good look into a Time Lord's sort of Blue and Orange Morality, for lack of a better word), and I loved her not wanting to leave Gwyneth while the latter was in danger. Just...awwww, Rose. <3 I say it's really one of many things I love about Rose -- just how kind she is, and how much empathy she has for other people. I don't think it's really valued enough these days, the matter of empathy. And it really sort of solidifies her status as, like Donna later, the McCoy. (I say Martha's more of the Spock, mostly because of how very calm and level-headed and intellectual she is, with a dash of McCoy) And I loved her kissing Dickens on the cheek before she and the Doctor headed off in the TARDIS.

-The moments of humor in this episode were freaking amazing, e.g. the Doctor's adorably awful pun regarding a "happy medium". (Oh, Nine. XD And considering his predecessor's fondness of puns...I think it's one of many things to sort of back up a Nine-is-basically-Eight-if-a-bit-more-cynical interpretation. It's one of many reasons I love Nine, really. :3 I...God, Nine, I miss you so much) Also, the Doctor fanboying over Dickens, also crossing over into absolutely freaking adorable. :3

-Dickens going off to spend time with his family over Christmas. Also, I can't help but notice -- a rather cynical, jaded man gets turned around a bit by visits from ghosts. Plus the "God bless us everyone". I mean...holy shit. (Okay, maybe I am stretching, but seriously, the fact that Dickens was acting out "A Christmas Carol" near the beginning was probably not just for the sake of the plot, but for the theme as well. I...Mark Gatiss, you're a genius! :D *)

* Then again, I think everyone who worked on DOCTOR WHO is a genius in ways large and small. :)

So overall, loved it. :3 Also, can't wait for the "Aliens of London/World War Three" two-parter. Seriously. :3
