This is great - there was such a truly messed up dynamic there with Luke and Lumiya and Mara (really, it's slightly creepy how much those two echo each other) and there's a lot of potential to be had for angst. Especially with the whole 'oops, turns out she didn't kill Mara after all!' angle.
