5 - You'll ask other people five questions if they want to be interviewed.
1. When did you fall in love with Anakin Skywalker's character?
Definitely the novels. The movies only solidified it. :)
2. What's your favourite Anakin moment in the movies?
Do I have to pick one? XD All right -- in TPM, the podrace and the Battle of Naboo (also, his first meetings with Padme and Obi-Wan, respectively, and showing Padme Threepio). In AOTC, the meadow picnic scene with Padme (just because we manage to get this beauty of a smile out of Anakin, as well as the subsequent romping through the meadow with Padme) and the fireside confession scene (true, the dialogue may sound a little cheesy to some -- even Lucas lampshaded it in a few interviews or so. XD -- but it's also so sweet and lovestruck and *sincere* that it's almost adorable. :3 *Huggles Anakin* ^^), not to mention the duel with Dooku (I don't really think many other people would have been able to stand their ground against Christopher fucking Lee. Plus, we get the lovely moment when it seems that Obi-Wan's about to be killed by Dooku when Anakin suddenly jumps in and blocks Dooku's strike). In ROTS, the duel with Dooku aboard the INVISIBLE HAND (because, true, it shows Anakin's courage as he's willing to fight for the death for people he loves -- even if Palpatine was basically manipulating him, Anakin's stand was still worthy of admiration -- but also his inner conflicts and his guilt over killing Dooku...probably even showing a bit of pity for Dooku -- I'm sure if not for Palpatine's manipulations, he would have taken Dooku back to Coruscant in chains instead) -- in fact, basically all of INVISIBLE HAND from the space battle above Coruscant to the "Happy Landing". Also, a lot of his moments with Padme are definite Crowning Moments of Heartwarming -- well, up until Mustafar, which was more of a Tearjerker than anything else. Also, Order 66 -- true, it's horrible, but it's just put together so well at the same time. The music, the shots, the acting...basically everything.
...and now I have a feeling I need to start up that Obi-Wan appreciation thread just to balance things out. :)
3. What word do you think could describe your personality?
Anxious. 'Nuff said. I worry a lot, I get slightly obsessive, etc. Let's say it kind of runs in my family; I take medications for it, but sometimes it's not enough. Sometimes I'll also need plenty of sleep, etc. to keep everything working properly. I think I manage to survive, though.
4. Tea or coffee?
Definitely tea. :)
5. Do you have any daily ritual (i.e., something you do to unwind, when you're writing, etc.)? Describe it.
On the weekends, I think it's something the lines of getting up, having breakfast, then going up to work on my writing and everything (usually with iTunes or Youtube blaring some music in the background). Then after writing's done, I work on some of my icons (or homework), have lunch, watch some TGWTG, etc. TGWTG's definitely my choice antidote to whenever I feel particularly shitty.

Date: 2011-07-17 09:23 pm (UTC)After spending some time in Star Wars fandom, I'll never be able to hear the word "cheesy" without cringing. Seriously :\ (I absolutely love the fireside confession scene. What wouldn't I give to hear such heartfelt love confession from someone?) Anyway, question #2 was kinda mean, I know ;)
Right there with you on #3 :( *hugs*

Holy crap, *this*. Anyways, I mostly acknowledged the "cheesy" thing just because...I kind of have an obsession with being "fair to all sides". In fact, when I was writing this, there was something in the back of my head that was going, "Y'know, some people aren't going to agree with you..." #Really needs to get over that damn thing. XD But yeah...I think it's definitely one of Anakin's many loveable traits: he's honest. In fact, I remember in the AOTC novelization (there I go with the damn novelizations again, I know. XD) that Padme's actually pleasantly surprised by Anakin's confession, considering she's been surrounded by politicians trying to weasel favors out of her (at least, that's what I vaguely remember) and handmaidens whose main duty is to please. So in a way, I think that's one reason she fell in love with Anakin (and why Obi-Wan loves Anakin, for that matter. :): he loves her just the way she is. :) I think that's another reason I love the meadow picnic scene as well -- he really is, in a way, teaching Padme that she doesn't have to be who others want her to be. Only problem is, she's been in politics so long that she can't see a life outside it, the poor dear. :( *Hugs* And I think -- although TBF I haven't seen CLONE WARS yet -- it kind of leaks through in making excuses not to take a leave with Anakin -- maybe in a way she actually feels a bit guilty for wanting to relax? * /end long mini-meta.
*Hugs* That really bites, I swear. It doesn't help that I'm majorly socially awkward -- I'd make Prince Zuko from ATLA look like Lando fucking Calrissian, I swear. XD (Definitely a show to get into, BTW; it's really good. :) I used to be going to a therapist for my issues, but let's say the sessions got cut short for a stupid reason that I was seeing the therapist more like a friend then...well, a therapist. *Sighs* I am getting better regarding some of my social issues, though -- I'm at least learning to lighten up. :) *Hugs you some more, JIC*
* I think that's one reason I can't get mad at Padme -- because, in a way, I see so much of myself in her sometimes. The guilt that plagues me at times whenever I'm not working, for example. I'm mostly working on these traits though. :)

Date: 2011-07-17 09:52 pm (UTC)I understand the desire to be fair to both sides, though... well, I asked your opinion, not anyone else's ;) *hugs tightly*
Just out of curiosity - and forgive me if this is too personal a question -, do you also have clinical depression or just anxiety?
I'm glad that you're feeling better regarding your issues, though :)

Ah, thanks. :) *Hugs back* It's just this...weird martyr complex I have. XD (Another way in which Anakin and I are alike. :)

Oh no, it's okay! :D I just...*sighs* I'm not sure on the clinical depression front -- my mom just thinks it's moodswings, and I guess it's true -- it still sucks, though. :/ That, and I can't really explain those random feelings of loneliness and anxiety...Worst part is feeling like no one wants to hear what you have to say -- which I chalk up to a pretty bad experience in a certain community discussing M. Night Shyamalan's...less than perfect adaptation of ATLA. *Sighs* It sucks. :/
And thanks. :) *Hugs* ^^
