01. What's your favourite character in KOTOR (I and II)?

In KOTOR, Bastila Shan. It helps that Jennifer Hale's awesome, but also because Bioware really went into what makes her tick. Also Juhani and Yuthura Ban (the Twi'lek you meet at the Academy on Korriban and probably one of the nicest Sith -- in a way -- you'll ever meet. In fact, that's why I love Korriban in K1 -- I love it in K2 as well, mostly for the sneaking around and finding loot thing -- you really meet a horde of really interesting characters). In KOTOR II...well, TBH, there's too many to count. There's Atton Rand just because of the snark factor, Kreia because of her motivations, her Magnificent Bastardry, and the fact that Obsidian just put *so much work* into her, Sion because he makes you want to shit your pants and yet at the same time you pity him, Visas Marr because she's also a really interesting character (and probably one of the nicest people you could ever meet), Brianna because she's adorable *, Mira because she's awesome, Bao-Dur because he's also awesome, etc. (Man, I could go on forever. XD) That's definitely one of many reasons to play the KOTOR games -- and that says volumes! :D -- they have such interesting characters. :)

* Seriously, there were times when I just wanted to give her a hug and tell her everything would be okay. Especially when she's basically manipulated by Kreia (her own *mother* if you believe the Kreia-is-Kae theory. *Shudders*) into killing her sisters (although I guess TBF, they kind of were Asshole Victims), as well as being tortured by Atris (in the male Exile storyline, it's mostly because Atris is jealous of Brianna having the Exile's affections). And also, when she apologizes profusely to you for what happened -- *Hugs her tightly*

02. Which of the LOTR movies is your favourite?

It's a tie between THE TWO TOWERS and RETURN OF THE KING. Probably because of Eowyn. :)

03. Who would you like to send to a desert island in the middle of nowhere?

Can't think of any off the top of my head, really. Except maybe Fred Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church infamy. :/

04. Team Edward or Team Jacob? XD

How about both? :) But I'll be honest, when I first read the books, I was kind of leaning towards Team Jacob. I didn't hate Edward and Bella's relationship, but I really thought she and Jacob were absolutely adorable as friends. :) (You may proceed to verbally abuse me. XD)

05. Who would you choose to play you on a movie about your life?

I'd pick Summer Glau. For those who are curious:

http://static.thehollywoodgossip.com/images/gallery/summer-glau.jpg

Just because she's an absolutely amazing actress and I just adore her. Probably ever since I saw her in the why-did-it-have-to-go-and-get-cancelled Joss Whedon sci-fi show FIREFLY (she plays River Tam, a stowaway on the ship SERENITY with psychic powers). She was also in THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, THE CAPE -- I think I definitely fell in love with her in FIREFLY though. :) #Is a River fan. :)

1. Well let's see here...I saw bits and pieces when I was a toddler, but I didn't watch the films in their entirety until I was eight or nine. I was sick one day so I decided to watch them. So when Vader said "No. I...am your father." I was completely surprised. Like everybody else had known that for years, and I had just watched them then. After that, the Special Editions came out, and I had a whole bunch of toys too [The Power of the Force series from Kenner]. Fast forward to high school, the toys are gone, the PT is out, and while those movies suck, I got back into the series there with videogames. Star Wars: Bounty Hunter [about Jango], The Clone Wars [vehicle combat], Jedi Outcast [FPS, part of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series], and of course, KOTOR. The games held my interest for years, but I didn't immerse myself completely into Star Wars until I started forum based RPing, which I've been doing since 2005. Could care less for Jedi stories, give me a good Mando or Clone story any day.

2. Favorite movie: Empire [then Hope, then Jedi]. Least favorite: Attack of the Clones. Granted the entire PT was pretty bad, but Clones was the worst. Pretty much showed how disconnected to the human race Georgey boy is [the Anakin/Padme scenes are embarrassing]

3. Favorite character: Ooh, thats a tough one. Its a toss up between Jango, Boba, and Canderous. Jango because he's completely professional, a killer maybe, but not a psycho. The videogame about him really fleshed out his personality, and made him out to be a very likeable character. Just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe, at the same time having to suck it up quite a bit and to forget a lot of painful events. Boba because he's stone cold. While Jango can carry a conversation [albeit still being vague and taciturn], Boba is pretty darn close to being a sociopath, but not a total lune like Aurra Sing. And Canderous because he's a completely gruff badass who could care less for Jedi sniveling, pissing and moaning about their duties. They are just real characters that don't lie to themselves.

As for least favorite...also a tough one. A toss up between Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan [PT], Satine Kryze, Duron Qel-Droma, and Shaela Nuur.
- Anakin because his depiction is horrible. Lucas should have made him charismatic, possibly snarky, but obviously suffering on the inside, yet not showing it. He should have been like Atton, or any typically 'damaged' character: fun to be around, serious when necessary, but gets angsty in private and sucks it up when others get close. A truly sympathetic character. Instead Anakin is just annoying. The acting was horrible too.
- When I say Obi Wan, I also mean the entire Jedi Council of that day. Once again, I blame the writer as well. Any rational individual would see that such a young kid would need serious psychological evaluations and therapy...and since they're Jedi, that means seeing such matters would come naturally. But they just pass Anakin along to Obi Wan, never bothering to make sure that the "Chosen One" is mentally stable.
- Satine Kryze: The bitch is the leader of the "New Mandalorians" in the Clone Wars series. Enough said.
- Duron and Shaela: They were in the KOTOR one-shot comic "Shadows and Light." To me they represent typical whiny Jedi. They fall in love like naive teenagers, and then piss and moan about doing their duty. They're the sort of Jedi that every Mandalorian hates: little pansies who can't get the job done.

4. I hate flaky people. And cowards. So. Fucking. Much.

5. Fandom pet peeves...hmm. Also a tough one, because there's a lot of things fans do that can be annoying. I suppose its about credibility. I could hate n00bs who come to my RPing board and just start being morons, but those are usually immature little 14 year olds and they're not worth hating. However I do dislike fans that immediately jump on a new series' bandwagon without appreciating whats come before it, or how that new series is destroying/bastardizing the franchise: Obviously I'm talking about the Old Republic. But then there's also the fans that go apeshit for the Legacy and KOTOR comics.

K...think I'm done :p

Very interesting answers! :D

I actually like Anakin, but I can understand why you don't like him that much. :) I'll admit there were instances where George Lucas could have done better -- for example, was the slaughter of the Sand People really necessary? I feel a bit at times like Lucas was focusing too much on oh-Anakin's-going-to-become-Vader instead of, you know, him being a human being and all -- and I kind of regret that Leonardo DiCaprio wasn't Anakin, if only because that would have been cool (*cough* fucking INCEPTION, man! :D *cough*). Overall, I think Hayden Christensen did an okay job though. He's actually a good actor, believe it or not; let's just say he had a less than stellar script to work with. #Isn't being defensive. Honest. :)

And agreed so very much on Atton! :D Atton's one of my favorites, really. :)

*Is curious as to why you don't like Satine, but then again, I haven't really seen the new CLONE WARS, so I can't really judge*

I haven't read the KOTOR comics, but between Alek/Malak nearly assaulting Jarael and what you just mentioned, I don't think I *want* to. :/

Holy crap, *this* regarding number four, so very much! And five. :)

Again, very interesting answers. Definitely a delight to read. :)

Well. I aim to please ;)

And its cool, I know you're not being defensive :p My rants are for the sake of calling folks out on their bad calls, not to start flame wars. More for discussion, really. If people try and argue with me, I laugh. And DiCaprio would have been cool to see as Anakin, no doubt.

As for Satine, she represents what Lucas and Co are doing with the "New Mandalorians." They're just ripping apart canon, all for a few silly episodes. Turning the Mandalorians into pacifists, one of them saying Jango was just "a common bounty hunter," nothing more. Really stupid shit.

1. Any books/movies/whatever you love everyone else hates?
Hahah, I actually enjoy reading textbooks. Well ok, only on subjects I like, like art and history. But still. I like reading them, esp. the ones for college cause they don't lie to you as much as the ones from high school.
And I really, REALLY like the cheese-tastic Dungeons & Dragons movie. The one with Jeremy Irons as the bad guy and one of the Wayans Bros. is in it too. It's probably one of the worst movie in the history of EVER. But I think Justin Whalin, who plays the "rogue/thief/hero" Ridley just looks super fucking sexy running around in leather pants with a sword. And it just makes me smile.

2. Any books/movies/whatever everyone else loves that you just don't get?
I never got the appeal of the Goosebumps books. Which is funny cause I'd actually watch the tv show form time to time. But I was always more of an Are You Afraid of the Dark girl.
Movies: I do NOT, at all, get the appeal of the Godfather movies. And I generally LIKE movies geared towards men. *points to her ridiculous collection of War Movies* But I just think the whole trilogy is just stupid and definitely don't understand why it's like the Bible to men.

3. Biggest pet peeves in fiction?
It STILL bugs me when the creator sets up a universe and makes all these rules, and then arbitrarily disregards or re-writes them because they want to do something that the rules wouldn't allow. *i.e. Medichlorines in Star Wars. The entire mythos of Twilight.* I don't care if you create the most wackadoodle rules/premises/mythos/whatever imaginable. But once it becomes an established part of the universe you create, you do not get to change it cause it no longer suits your fancy.

4. What book/movie/whatever are you most looking forward to?
Cowboys & Aliens hands down. Han Solo/Indiana Jones and James Bond in teh same movie, kicking Alien Ass Old West style. I'm all over that like white on rice. And it helps that they filmed it where I live.

Books, I'm still looking forward to the next Heroes of Olympus book from Rick Riordan. I really liked his Percy Jackson series and cannot wait for my Mythology hijinks and adventures and asskicking!

5. Favorite and least favorite fandoms?
Favorite: Doctor Who, ATLA, Star Wars (though I don't really participate, just lurk mostly), Comic Books (because I like way too many to just pick one), Harry Potter and SyFy's Alice

Least Favorite: Twilight (because scary fans that try to cut me are scary), LOTR (because of scary Purist Nazi Bitches. But it's been awhile since I actively tried to participate. I need to stick my toe back itn eh water and see what the fandom's like now.), Covert Affairs (Because there is not enough good fic out there, and what little good stuff thier is is not my pairing.), any of the ones where the majority of fans are immature, ignorant and make no effort to improve on either of these fronts: double hate if they are write super crap Mary Sue fanfic and think it's TEH BESTEST EVAH!!!!
