Ask me a fandom-related question in the comments. This can be fandom specific, general, or about fandom/lj stuff/fic writing/etc. in general. Questions can be as wacky as you want. Ask me about tv shows, characters, fanfic in general, fandom issues/meta, anything about any of my stories specifically. Whatever you want. Dream big.
b) Comment saying "MEME" and I will tell you the following:
1. Something random about you.
2. Which color you remind me of.
3. My first memory of you.
4. What random character I associate with you.
5. My favorite thing about you.
6. What fandom I associate with you.
7. Challenge you to post this on your journal.

Date: 2011-07-05 07:38 pm (UTC)1. Which pairings will you never write?
2. If you had to relate the following characters to household appliances/everyday inanimate objects, what would those objects be?!
- Katara
- Palpatine
- Samwise
- Faramir
- Ron Weasley
- Iroh
...lol*shrug*
b) MEME. :)

Date: 2011-07-05 07:47 pm (UTC)(a) 1. Pairings I'll never write: I don't think I'll ever write Obi-Wan/Padme. I'm just not comfortable with it. I'm more of an Anakin/Padme girl (call me crazy. ^^). Granted, I think Obi-Wan/Padme could work if written right, but even so, I'm kind of cautious. I think they're more like brother and sister than anything else.
2. Katara would be one of Eowyn's swords. Swift, deadly, and awesome.
Palpatine would be a regular pen. Or a pillow. Something potentially harmless. XD
Samwise Gamgee would be...anything garden-related.
Faramir would be a piece of chainmail. #Sort of thinking about his talk with Pippin in the ROTK movie.
Ron Weasley would be...a CARROT! /South Park reference. Sorry, had to get that in there. XD Anyways! :D I think he'd probably be a warm, snuggly sweater. You know, because of the Weasley sweaters.
Iroh would be a teapot.
(b) 1. What...is your favorite color? /Monty Python reference. XD
2. Pink. :)
3. Going over to cheer me up after my first meeting with capslock_atla went badly. *Hugs* Something I'll forever adore you for, really. :)
4. Kaylee from FIREFLY.
5. You're always cheerful, bouncy, kind, and just awesome to be around. *Grinz* You definitely brighten things up. :)
6. AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER, LORD OF THE RINGS, HARRY POTTER, and STAR WARS.
7. Now it's your turn. :)

Date: 2011-07-05 07:49 pm (UTC)It seems like in Star Wars, trying to make all the EU material fit together is a work in progress. Specifically, having characters from one era recognize characters from another. In a lot of the new novels, there are references to events that happened not only in previous novels or other EU material, but to movies as well. Its a nice gesture, because it helps to make it one complete galaxy. In that regard, what would you say would be...Palpy's opinion of some of our favorite KOTOR Sith Lords? Sion, Nihlius, Treya, Revan, Malak...
B. Gosh, I'm hesitant to say it...I'll leave it open. Reply if you want, or not, either way is cool with me ; )

Date: 2011-07-05 07:59 pm (UTC)(A) Honestly, that's a very good question. :) But I have a feeling that Palpatine would admire Kreia if only for her skill at manipulation -- while scorning her for her relationship with the Exile. (This is, after all, the same guy who didn't realize that torturing Vader's son in front of him would set him off) He'd probably admire Malak for the same reasons Sion did ("healing this broken galaxy and making it strong again"), and Revan for his gift in strategy. I'm not sure what he'd think of Nihilus; probably admiring him for his power, but not exactly...y'know. :)
(B) (a) How did you first get into STAR WARS?
(b) Green. :)
(c) I think it was definitely meeting you on kotor_legends. *Grinz* Also, the discussion between me, you and eldritch about the KOTOR retcon, etc. etc., which was a pretty good antidote after having gone through...y'know, the Luke thing. :)
(d) Boba Fett. :)
(e) You're a very good writer, fun to talk to, and incredibly awesome and supportive. *Hugs*
(f) KOTOR. *Grinz* Also, the STAR WARS EU. Just because both of them are unbelievably awesome. :)
(g) Go forth and post, I say! :D

Date: 2011-07-05 08:12 pm (UTC)B. Do I answer? Ah what the hell, here goes.
1. Oddly enough, when I first watched SW back when I was 4 or 5, I wasn't into it. I didn't actually watch them all the way through, only saw bits and pieces. But then when I was 9 or 10 I watched all of them, and was completely blown away by Vader's revelation. Then I went and saw ANH special edition in 1997, and got into it then. Action figures, the special edition on VHS, the insider magazine...then I got lukewarm with it {the first two films rubbed me the wrong way}, but then I played Jedi Outcast and KOTOR and got back into the series. Haven't left since. Did I overdo that? My bad.
2. Green is my favorite colour!
3. Most definitely. Yes I remember you being rather down about Luke's recent appearances. I'm glad our discussions cheered you up!
4. Boba Fett. Now I wonder where you got that from, hmm? :p
5. Neato. Thanks Doll! *Hugs*
6. Damn right.
7. Alright, alright. I don't post often enough anyway. Hell I don't think anyone on my friends list [besides you] ever visits LJ anymore anyway.

Date: 2011-07-05 08:18 pm (UTC)In fact, sometimes I wonder why they have to fight. I guess the Jedi and Sith alike are making up reasons why they have to keep fighting... *ponders*
B. 1. Cool! :D And nope, you didn't overdo it. :)
2. Awesome! :D
3. They really did. :) That, and I'm slowly starting to understand Luke a little more. And considering my verse where he becomes Vader, let's say it's needed. I don't want to end up writing him "evil to the core from the beginning"; it's just...not very interesting. I like my villains well-intentioned before going a bit nuts, really. :) (Probably why I love STAR WARS so much. :)
4. Your icon. :) That, and our discussions. :)
5. *Hugs back* You're very welcome. :)
6. *Grinz*
7. That really bites. I'm sorry. :( But definitely go forth and post. :)

3. Ooh, Luke going dark side and becoming a Sith Lord? Now that you have to tell me about. And yes...villains need to have a human side before they just go straight up evil. It makes for a richer experience for the reader.
7. Indeed I will, in fact I just made a post with this meme.

Date: 2011-07-05 08:32 pm (UTC)B. 3. Well, basically, it's sort of a what-if: Luke being the fallen Jedi Knight and Anakin being the farmboy who has to take him down. *Grinz* It's just one of those "Eureka" moments that just...comes to you. :) So far I'm mostly puzzling it out, finding out where everything goes, etc. etc. But I have to say I'm definitely enjoying writing this! :D
7. Awesome. :3

Date: 2011-07-05 10:35 pm (UTC)It would be nice to have non-Force sensitives remain heavy contenders in the galaxy.
Plus, I'm ticked off that the title "Darth" is given out like candy.

Date: 2011-07-06 12:16 am (UTC)The comic writers really need to come up with something original. The whole epic war for the galaxy thing is really fucking old. Lets see some political/espionage intrigue, in the vain of Clancy, le Carre, Ludlum, etc etc.

Date: 2011-07-06 12:23 am (UTC)It's been long understood, before retcon, that Revan, followed by Malak, was the first Darth since the most ancient times.
Very, very true. It's sad when I can think of a very interesting scenario that Revan can do post KOTOR, when they cannot. They're supposed to be the pros.

1. How did you first come up with the idea of FROM THE ASHES?
2. Purple. :)
3. I think it was reading your meta on Anakin on sw_meta (which I didn't exactly comment on at the time considering...well, I didn't exactly have much to say). And discussing KOTOR with you. :) Which was awesome. :)
4. Obi-Wan.
5. You're a very talented writer (I still envy you! :D), very easygoing and supportive, and an awesome friend. :) *Hugs* ^^
6. Star Wars.

Date: 2011-07-06 12:54 am (UTC)Been mosying around. I'm playing a DSF counselor who will be a Sith Lord. I want to unlock the discussion that Mandalore has about what he's been up to. So, DS, focusing on Charisma because Mandalore isn't the easiest to influence.
Right now T3 is exploring Peragus.

Date: 2011-07-06 12:59 am (UTC)Very cool! :D TBH, I can never get that discussion with Mandalore. I mean, I've heard of it, but I just can't get it. *Facepalms* It's just crazy.
