1. Anakin's always been a favorite of mine, ever since I read the books. (The movies also helped. ^__^) Let's say that I was kind of on a vacation, saw some STAR WARS books lying around, picked them up, and was sucked in.

2. Padme, naturally! :D

3. Either Anakin + Palpatine (just for the dynamics) or Anakin + Obi-Wan (again, dynamics).

4. Hmmm...this is a tough one. Okay, this is going to be embarrassing to admit, but a lot of people I know on the 'Net kind of had the line of thought regarding, "Anakin was such a brat and Obi-Wan was a saint to put up with him". Believe it or not, I had the opposite opinion reading the novelizations of AOTC and ROTS. I thought Obi-Wan was a complete jackass and Anakin was really a saint to keep loving him like that (platonically, that is. ^__^). Granted, I've warmed up to Obi-Wan more since, but back when I first read the books I loathed him and went...kind of Mama Bear for Anakin. Now I love them both. :)

5. I kind of wish he got a happier ending. He deserved better. :)

I watched the movies first. The classic trilogy, to be more precise, and I fell in love with Vader from the first moment he appears in ANH and loved him all the way through to RotS. Even not knowing that he was redeemed in the end, I "knew" there was good in him even before I saw Luke saying the same thing.

Then I went to the prequels. I confess that it was the prequels that made me a Star Wars fan, besides being a Vader fan. I really, really loved Anakin in the prequels! He was exactly what I had in mind for him before he became Darth Vader :)))

I agree with you on Obi-Wan's jerkishness, although I have Obi-Wan/Anakin as my OTP (both platonic and romantic wise). I like Anakin/Padmé, but... well, not as much.

1. Eowyn's another favorite of mine. She was already awesome in the books, but Miranda Otto really made her awesome-er. :) (If that's a word. ^__^)

2. Off the top of my head, Frodo, Merry, Faramir, Aragorn (yes, I'm warming up to the pairing even after I loathed it at first), Legolas and Gimli.

3. Gimli, Merry, and Aragorn.

4. Hmmm, I can't really think of anything. Maybe it's...more a scene that I haven't really heard people talk about yet, but I actually come close to tears regarding the Dwarf Women scene in the movie version of THE TWO TOWERS. I mean...it starts out funny, of course, but then you get into Theoden's monologue and you start to get really teary-eyed. Especially considering everything she went through while her uncle was possessed by Saruman (and after her parents died). Honestly, the girl really deserved better, IMHO. ^__^

5. This is more my personal head-canon, but I'm definitely hoping she kept kicking ass (in her way) from now into the future. ^__^

1. I didn't like her at first, but eventually she grew on me. :)

2. Aang, Zuko, Jet.

3. Suki, Aang, Zuko and Toph.

4. This is probably going to get me killed, but I honestly thought that her reaction towards Zuko from WAT - TSR (yeah, I know, short episode lengths. :P) was a little out of proportion. True, he's done some stupid, stupid things in the time he was chasing them, but honestly...it just felt like Mike and Bryan's excuse to beat on Zuko, not a legitimate reaction from Katara. (That's just me, though. :)

5. I kind of wish that Mike and Bryan had gone into her emotional state after "Crossroads of Destiny" a little more. :)

1. I love him. Probably ever since his review of NORTH. He basically won my undying loyalty after he quoted LOTR. ^__^

1. He used to annoy me at first, but now he's really grown on me.

2. Siri or Sabe.

3. Padme or Anakin.

4. Well...does not liking him at first count, necessarily?

5. I definitely wanted Lucas to go into his thoughts more after the Mustafar scene.

Damn! This so much!! :))) The only thing that I find sort of weird in that part is that she doesn't even live for her and Anakin's kids, but... seriously, I can understand losing the will to live when the man you love is lost.
