In a film series packed to the brim with Crowning Moments of Heartwarming, this possibly stands out:

Just to provide some context, Eowyn, due to her Broken Bird status, doesn't really smile that much (well, other than that Tearful Smile after Theoden's cured from Saruman's Demonic Possession), but this beautiful scene when Gimli's telling her about Dwarf Women and does an I Meant To Do That fall off his horse...all the while as Theoden tells Aragorn about Eowyn, and why he feels guilty about not being there for her (although it can't really be helped considering he was under Saruman's spell at the time). It's definitely Bernard Hill's delivery that...gets one a little teary eyed between having the biggest grin on their face they've ever had.
Seriously, say what you want about Gimli's comic relief status, but I think in this scene...he definitely used his powers for good. :)
