Warning: unpopular opinions below.
Favorite lead female character: The Jedi Exile. Or Buffy.
Favorite supporting female character: Kaylee Frye. Also, Brianna, Visas, etc. Seriously, all the KOTOR II supporting girls kick a lot of ass, IMHO. ^__^
A female character you hated but grew to love: Katara. She grated on my nerves at first, but over time she definitely grew on me. :)
A female character you relate to: Katara, River Tam, and now that I mention it, Eowyn.
Favorite female character on a male-driven show: Arwen from Lord of the Rings. Only amplified in the movies because (and I may get smacked for this) I loved her scene at the Ford of Bruinen. I mean, it's obvious that she's terrified (see first picture in the upper left hand corner), but she still manages to stand her ground and call some watery vengeance on the Nazgul just to keep Frodo safe.
It helps that Liv Tyler did beautifully in that scene; you really feel her fear, her desperation, and then her decision to win. After all, the Nazgul were just there to slay an enemy. Arwen was mostly trying to save a friend.
(And this turned into a mini-gushing section for movie!Arwen. I suck. XD)
Favorite female-driven show: AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER.
A female character that needs more screen time: Either Eowyn or Arwen. Just because they're both really kickass characters. ^__^
Favorite female character in a comedy show: The Nostalgia Chick.
Favorite female character in a drama show: River Tam from Firefly.
Favorite female character in a scifi/supernatural show: River Tam.
Favorite female character in a children’s show: Azula.
Favorite female character in a movie: Princess Leia.
Favorite female character in a book: I fell in love with Padme in the prequel trilogy novelizations, TBH. ^__^ (Especially AOTC. My God, AOTC! :D)
Favorite older female character:
Favorite female character growth arc: Nancy Holbrook in the remake of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. It helps that Rooney Mara is a fantastic actress, IMHO. :)
Favorite mother character: Katara or Atris. And Kya, Padme, Lily Potter, and Ursa.
Favorite warrior female character: Brianna.
Favorite non-warrior female character: Princess Yue from ATLA.
Favorite non-human female character: Um...does Luthien from THE SILMARILLION count as "non-human"? (Because...she's technically an elf. /digging grave) Seriously though, she kicks so much ass in "The Tale Of Beren And Luthien".
Favorite female antagonist: Kreia from KOTOR II.
Favorite female character screwed over by canon: Oh Jesus...probably Padme. *Hugs* Seriously, poor girl went through a lot of crap. Also, Jaina Solo, Tahiri Veila, and the F!Exile (the latter is more Break The Cutie, really).
Favorite female character you love but everyone else hates: Arwen.
Favorite female platonic relationship: River + Kaylee, F!Exile + Mira, etc. I'm a sucker for friendships, TBH. ^__^
Favorite female romantic relationship: I have a particular weakness for Visas/Brianna, and F!Exile/Atris. ^__^ (It's the dynamics involved. :)
Favorite mother/daughter and/or sister relationship: In the loosest sense, F!Exile + Kreia and F!Exile + Atris. I just love the dynamics, once again. :)
Favorite classical female character (from pre-20th century literature or mythology or the like): Artemis.
A female character you have extensive personal canon for: The Jedi Exile. (No doy! XD)
Favorite female writer (television, books, movies, etc.): Fran Walsh and Phillipa Boyens, who worked with Peter Jackson on THE LORD OF THE RINGS movies. Honestly, I doubt he would have gotten that far without them. I mean...they're the team, and I'm sure they always will be. They're my personal role models in terms of writing.
Also, I have to second xlovelylight'sx mentioning of JKR. For all JKR's flaws, she's still pretty awesome. ^__^
And I better go. See you later. ^__^
