Nov. 12th, 2012 07:43 amCurrently have 21, 717 words. Not bad, I guess. :) Also, got to have an epic fight scene between Padme, Artoo, Obi-Wan and Grievous, which was fun. And got to delve more into Grievous' thoughts a bit via nightmare sequence. Also fun. :)

Nov. 11th, 2012 11:44 amGot 20,015 words so far. Going pretty well -- learning more about Padme than I ever thought possible. :) (Seriously, I love Padme in this fic. She's just...so entertaining to write. It's always a joy writing her scenes. :)
Nano updates
Nov. 10th, 2012 11:38 amGot 18,657 words done. Current status: sore. On the "this is going better than I hoped" end, I'm definitely learning more about Grievous than I ever thought possible. On the "NaNo ate my soul" end, I'm worried about writing Grievous OOC. Still, I suppose that when he wants to, when the wind's blowing in the right direction, Grievous can feel kind. Besides, he was once a good man. I kind of wanted to touch on that for NaNo, at least. Not sure how well it'll do in the long run, but I certainly hope...
I don't know how well I'm writing Grievous, but at least, going down this path, at least for this story, is at least pretty interesting.

And on the slight "NaNo ate my soul" front, Mace Windu fucking scared me. On the "going better than I hoped side", though, I'm finding out more about the characters than I thought. Padme's doubt over the Clone Wars, and Obi-Wan at least trying to act like they're doing the right thing. A bit more of him trying to persuade himself, though, because honestly? He's Obi-Wan. He's a good man, despite everything.

Nov. 7th, 2012 11:28 amGot 13,519 words so far. *Rubs wrists and fingers* Ouch. Also, ended up writing probably the longest fucking action scene I've ever done. Pretty worth it though, especially in terms of bolstering the word count. :)

Nov. 6th, 2012 01:49 pmCurrently have 11,697 words. *Sighs* Thank God. Also managed to get some more insight on the matter of Vader and how he feels about the matter. I can definitely see him as the sort of Well-Intentioned Extremist Wide-Eyed Idealist type of Sith that feels like he has to make things right. It's one reason that I like Vader, really -- he's not doing things because he's evil; he's doing things because he thinks he's doing the right thing.
Also, don't know how I managed to get a degree of Foe Yay between Vader and Padme, but I guess considering that I ship Anakin/Padme like burning, a bit of it crept into my writing.

Nov. 5th, 2012 12:17 pmGot 10,087 words today. Also on the duel with Dooku. Doing pretty well, I think, considering the circumstances. Pretty tired right now, but relatively satisfied.
Also, a bit of a ramble, based on one post that I read (thanks to a recommendation by fangirlblog). I don't know how qualified I am to really talk about this (and I doubt I can be as eloquent as some of the commenters were), but it was something that really struck me, and I kind of want to talk about it:

Nov. 3rd, 2012 11:50 amNot only have I reached 5,194 words so far, but Sidious is shaping up to be genuinely creepy (in a sort of can-I-hide-under-the-bed-now way), especially in regards to a twist that I honestly hadn't really been planning on when I was beginning my NaNo project. I just...Sidious, keep being awesome for me, you Magnificent Bastard you. Just...seriously.

Also really, really liked going into Dooku's feelings and thoughts during the Onderon arc (at least, him reflecting on it in the present). He's a fascinating character, Dooku, and that's one reason he's one of my favorites. I also wish he and Anakin got more interaction and whatnot, if only because of how much potential their dynamic has.
Oh yeah, and I had a really awful nightmare regarding Thor, Loki, and some fucked up sort of retelling of the Osiris and Set myth. It was so awful I actually was curled in the fetal position on my bed and going in my head, a la the Doctor in "Midnight", "It's gone it's gone it's gone it's gone..." Mostly decided to get it out via NaNoing.

Nov. 19th, 2011 04:22 pmUpdated my NaNo. Only really bad thing was that I kind of ran out of steam at the Dooku part -- let's say that I guess the best course of action is to just skip to the end -- or at least one of the ending scenes. Current Word Count? 64,057 words. *Collapses* I guess it doesn't help that I ended up skipping lunch (let's say I kind of experience that whenever I'm super-busy), so I'm slightly giddy right now, and not really in the good way.
