Pretty good timing considering...well, it came at a time when I was having a bit of emotion problems. (My mom's a little worried about the effects of the pill I'm taking on my emotions, so she's thinking I should keep a diary just to keep track of my mood swings and emotions. *Sighs* I just hope it won't turn out as bad as two years ago when I was on that medicine; that was hellish) But anyway...well, it was really good. Amazing, really.

I was admittedly nervous because while I am fond of Eleven, I don't think I was ready to let go of Ten yet. Ten wasn't just My Doctor; he was just one of those characters that left too much of an impact on me to simply be forgotten. Everything from the beach scene in "Doomsday" to "I forgive you" to "I never would" to "Time Lord Victorious"...well, I confess that those pretty much impacted me. But that said, Matt Smith...well, he reminded me of exactly why I was so fond of Eleven. For one thing, his standing up to the Atraxi -- not to mention doing something that's just freaking awesome, IMHO -- calling the Atraxi back for a scolding. I loved the bit of humor in there (what with "The Doctor will see you now!" -- oh, Doctor. Never stop being awesome. :3), not to mention the montage of everything humankind has done (sort of boiling down to, fundamentally, that Earth is a good planet. Sort of reassuring, at least, considering I was going through one of my "fuck everything" moments at the time -- I hate those moments. :/) and "Is this world protected?" Only nitpick is when it shows the Hath there, considering the Hath weren't really the villains there; it was really General Cobb (or Quaritch as I called him once, although at least Quaritch had his Pet the Dog moments; Cobb was willing to gun down an innocent girl * -- okay, it was kind of an accident -- to satisfy his bloodlust against the Hath) who was the villain there. (Or "antagonist", at least) At least, it was one of those moments I was momentarily jarred out of the episode to go, "What are the Hath doing there?" But that said, it was still awesome. Especially the montage of each Doctor, culminating with Eleven stepping through the image of Ten. And his "Hello. I'm the Doctor. Basically, run." And the Atraxi just downright high-tailing it out. I swear I started cheering right then and there. It was just so cool. :3

And earlier, when the Doctor and Amy revert Prisoner Zero back to its true form (BTW, it showing up as little Amelia as well as the Doctor to taunt them? Do. Not. Want.). And speaking of which...Amy? It's good to see you again. :3 And Rory. I know that seeing this episode reminded me of why I loved them so much. I loved Amy's bickering with the Doctor before growing accustomed to him, as well as her astonishment at seeing the inside of the TARDIS. Something about her was just so fun to watch. :3 And Rory too. I loved how his phone with the pictures of Prisoner Zero were really the key to help save the day. (BTW, did anyone see the "Smith and Jones" parallels? A monster who can change shape based on its victims, being chased by an implacable police force willing to do anything to get the prisoner... **) And Jeff was fun too -- he had some funny moments with Eleven (for example, Eleven coming across his Internet browsing. XD ***) and some awesome moments (transferring the zero code. Seriously, you keep going at it, Doctor. You keep making people into heroes. You keep being awesome. :3). And Eleven in general was just a lot of fun -- his interactions with little Amelia, for instance (BTW, loved her too. :) Her praying to Santa, for instance; that was really adorable. :) And her completely unfazed reaction to Eleven), the bit with the swimming pool (which...Jesus, Eleven, you must have had quite the TARDIS tumble for the library to end up in the swimming pool ****), stealing an ambulance (especially getting the ladder to go through the hospital window to get to Amy and Rory), his scorn over the people taping things with their phones (some things never change in the Whoniverse, eh? :)...things like that. I haven't seen much of Eleven's era, especially not of Season Five (I've mostly seen "The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone" and "Vincent and the Doctor" *****), but so far? This one's getting off to a good start. :)

* Though she survived -- definite thanks, Moffat. :)

** Although Prisoner Zero didn't kill its victims. Not really. And Amy just had her aunt, and from what was told of her mother, she sounds pretty awesome. Pity we didn't see more of Amy's parents after they got out of the crack, really. (Long story, universe reboot...stuff like that)

*** I also remember telling my mom, "What was in Jeff's Internet history?" I mean, really. XD

**** Unless I'm wrong?

***** A.k.a. that episode I remember for giving me a full-blown Inelegant Blubbering fit in the middle of the night; thank God my parents were still asleep.

So overall? Fucking awesome. Definitely recommended. :)
