Pick 3 of your OTPs without looking at the questions.
1. Anakin/Padme
2. Doctor/Rose
3. Atton/Exile
1. What made you ship 3?
I think it was just the "ship at first sight" thing. From the moment the Exile walked into Atton's cell -- honestly, the moment they started interacting with one another on Peragus in general, I knew I shipped those two. And I'll admit that I got really frustrated that they didn't have any payoff in the end, but Chris Avellone did say, quite a long while ago, that he didn't really...well, here's the quote, in any case (originally snagged from Scorchy's LP):
I wished I believed in romance more than Bioware. I just can't write it unless one of the pair gets impaled on a pike, set on fire, or betrays the other and then impales them on a pike or sets them on fire. Generally, I prefer unrequited, melancholy, quiet suffering whenever possible, which really doesn't go over well with a lot of the role-players out there.
Pity, really -- Atton and the Exile were really sweet together. :) At least, as sweet as a romance between a former Sith assassin and a former Jedi General can get. XD I mean, it's a lot of angst there, in a way, what with the two of them trying to find redemption. With plenty of snark. And pazaak. I mean, awwww...
2. Is 2 canon?
Well, sort of. Let's say that she ended up with his half-human clone. Long story there.
3. What is your favorite moment between 1?
A lot of moments, really!
From TPM, the "Are you an angel" scene, the grins shared between them while they're riding the eopie, their talk on the way to Coruscant, and the smiles exchanged between them at the parade. From AOTC, their talk during the packing scene, the sadly-deleted scene when Padme takes Anakin to meet her family, the meadow picnic scene, the dinner scene and Anakin's confession (seriously, I don't care what other people may say; I *love* that scene), the hug shared between them before Anakin goes off to rescue Shmi, Padme comforting him after the incident in the Tusken camp (it's just really well done. Seriously, nice job, Hayden and Nat both. Seriously), Padme confessing her love for him (finally!), the battle of Geonosis (especially the hug Padme gives him after the Curb Stomp Battle with Dooku), and them marrying. In Revenge of the Sith, their reunion after Invisible Hand (so much adorableness!), their banter on the balcony (seriously, I don't care what other people may say; it's an adorable scene. 'Nuff said) as well as Anakin confiding in Padme about his nightmares, Padme giving Anakin some (IMHO) much needed comfort after the Council meeting, as well as later reassuring him that she's not going to die in childbirth (as well as a bit earlier than that scene when Anakin confides in her about feeling "lost" -- wonderful acting from both Hayden and Nat there, again). And then after that, Anakin visiting her after Order 66. It's really creepy, in a sense (especially considering that Anakin's visiting her after all these horrible things he's done at the Temple) and yet at the sense, oddly sweet, especially his lines, "I just wanted to make sure you and the baby were safe." And also, this line:
ANAKIN: Have faith, my love. Everything will soon be set right.
I think it also says volumes as to why Anakin's doing what he's doing -- he's not doing what he's doing for the hell of it; he's doing it because he genuinely wants to save Padme (and their unborn child -- or children, really) from dying. I mean, after watching his mother die in front of him and no doubt watching other good people die during the Clone Wars, of course he'd want to prevent death. Not to mention Padme's observation about him in the Revenge of the Sith novelization. Saving people is what he does. It's who he is. The idea of failing Padme and their unborn child(ren) -- well, I can imagine that the day Sidious told him probably ranked amongst the worst days of his life. True, he did do horrible things, but at the same time, I feel sorry for him, because really? His life kind of sucked.
And honestly? Somebody had to pity him once (as a sadly cut line from "Journey's End" regarding Davros goes).
Anyway, back on topic...
I also love the Mustafar confrontation. Really horrific and heartbreaking, but really well-done. Not just from Hayden and Natalie, but from Ewan as well. Just...damn. And the two of them asking about the other when they wake up. I mean... *Sniffles* Goddamn.
But seriously, I don't think a monster would ask after his wife's health when he woke up. He wouldn't express remorse for killing her (in a way) either. I think it really makes things more powerful in regards to Vader being a tragic monster. I really do.
4. If you could put 3 in any scenario, what would it be?
Well, I'd definitely like to take them back to the era of the Clone Wars. That would be pretty cool, IMHO.
5. Favorite line said between 1?
A lot of them, really, but some of my favorites include this exchange:
ANAKIN: You're trembling. What's wrong?
PADME: Something wonderful has happened. I...Annie, I'm pregnant.
ANAKIN: But...that's wonderful.
PADME: What are we going to do?
ANAKIN: We're not going to worry about it. This is a happy moment. The happiest moment of my life.
The smile just makes it:

And yes, I will admit I nearly cried watching this scene in Revenge of the Sith. Yes, I am a dork. XD But I think it was just the knowledge of what was going to happen to them next that kind of broke my heart, even in between the "Oh my God, we're going to have a baby" squee. And Anakin's smile there...*Huggles him and Padme tightly*
6. Did everything you want happen between 2?
Well, considering I didn't get into DOCTOR WHO until this year, really, I unfortunately can't say. I mean, I'm glad that Rose is at least happy with the half-human Doctor (at least according to Davies). But still...
7. If not, what did you want to see?
Frankly, I would have liked Rose to *not* get nearly sucked into the Void near the end of "Doomsday", and continue traveling with the Doctor. And Martha and Donna joining the crew of the TARDIS, along with Jack, and generally being awesome. I mean...seriously, that would have been just...so many layers of win. :3
Also,
doctor_rose_fix's idea of Rose traveling with un-mind-wiped (and possibly full Time Lady) Donna and the Doctor. Because that would be so made of win that I could not count it. :3
8. Would a crossover work between the three?
I think it could. I can definitely picture Anakin, Atton and the Doctor hanging out (with some heavy snark between Anakin and Atton at times), as well as Padme, Rose and the Exile. I think they'd get along well, at least. So yes, a crossover would definitely work.
9. Recommend a blog dedicated to 2
doctor_rose_fix is a pretty good one. I mean, screencaps, gifs, fanfic -- it's definitely become a good place (at least for me) in terms of all things Doctor/Rose. Also,
time_and_chips. It's got a lot of good fic there, for one thing. :)
10. Recommend a fic about 3
The Confession by Trillian4210. Warning for some mature/disturbing content in Atton's flashbacks. This was actually something I read a long while ago, and it definitely left an impact on me -- just the glimpse into Atton's thoughts. It's definitely the character beats that make the fic, IMHO.
11. What’s 1 shipper name?
Well, as far as I know, the only one out there is Anidala. I think for the hell of it, I'm going to come up with a shipper name for them. Um...The Sith Lord and His Senator. The Queen and Her Knight. Japor Snippet. Lightsabers and Politics.
...okay, I could have done a little better with that. Sorry.
12. Favorite episode/chapter of 3?
Probably the Peragus level. Because true, it was a pain in the ass to play on my first try (seriously, my parents were actually concerned about my sanity at one point), but I loved the interaction between Atton and the Exile. Also, Nar Shaddaa, when you learn about Atton's past. Seriously, wonderful job, Nicky Katt -- seriously.
13. Does anyone In Real Life know you ship 2?
Not really. Although my mom's planning on watching DOCTOR WHO with me sometime (once we get the boxed sets), so...
14. Do you also ship 1’s actors?
*Sighs* Okay, maybe a bit. It's something to sort of toy around with, at least. I'm not a die-hard shipper though.
1. Anakin/Padme
2. Doctor/Rose
3. Atton/Exile

Date: 2012-10-29 01:02 am (UTC)Really, I just want all of them together. That is one reason I love Journey's End, even if I hate the way it ended. All 10's companions and others we have come to know together being awesome and kicking Dalek ass.

Date: 2012-10-29 01:18 am (UTC)And I agree, so very much. :3 That's why I loved "Journey's End" as well -- along with Davros just being a *creepy* son of a bitch; I know his speech about the Reality Bomb was...while awesome, so many levels of Do Not Want and *terrifying*. Made even worse by the fact that in one classic series episode, "Genesis of the Daleks", well, just watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkelV2WUNdw.
And then in Journey's End, he has everything he wanted. The power of a god. Granted, fortunately, the Doctor Donna and Ten 2.0 manage to stop him (as well as Caan reaching his bullshit tolerance), but...dear God. 0.0. (Although someone had a funny comment about this. "What are the Daleks going to do next? Sit around and play cards?" Still horrifying as fuck, though. 0.0)
Not to mention his speech to Ten. I mean...youch. 0.0. And the Daleks, earlier, attempting to destroy the TARDIS *with Donna inside*. I mean, fortunately, Ten 2 and Donna managed to get it out, but still, Do Not Want.
And I know what you mean. I swear, Satan gives RTD the idea for season finale endings at times.

Date: 2012-10-29 04:27 pm (UTC)Yes. It's great, because from a writer's perspective, they took mere dialogue, simple backstory monologue, and went into full detail on how the whole scene occurred. From what I also gathered, the writer also took dialogue and scenes from the game's cut content, which is brilliant. Just a fantastic piece overall.
