If I'd grown up with Potter, I'd be hooked too. But for me, the Wars are all, and Trek filled the void when it died the first time. And Transformers. All I can say is be glad the EU is there. There were a lot of years where we only had the Droids and Ewoks cartoons, and thankfully that didn't last long...
