Just some highlights:
-Bernard Hill remarking on the infamous Human Comet scene, with Pete joking about Denethor's parachute setting on fire. (Just listen to the commentary; my description does *not* do it justice. XD) And Pete's explanation for why Denethor was able to run a conveniently placed cliff as long as a football field? "Well, what would you do if you were on fire?" XD
KRUEGER (deadpan): Stop, drop and roll, I guess.
Heh. Should include it in my fan fic where the Distressed Watcher reviews LOTR.
DISTRESSED WATCHER: You can tell they don't have stop, drop and roll rules in Middle Earth, because Denethor basically runs a cliff as *long as a football field* before going kamikaze on some Orcs. (Beat) Seriously, who made that cliff? Did the designer of Minas Tirith go, "Hey, I've got a great idea; let's carve a Valar-knows-many-stories-cliff out of stone here for no apparent reason." I mean...did he ever watch Return of the Jedi?
(Cue clip of the reactor shaft scene from Return of the Jedi.)
DISTRESSED WATCHER: Seriously, it didn't work out for Ian McDiarmid, and it didn't work out for poor John Noble here. (Beat) Although John Noble's a little less of a jackass and more of a...
DENA: Jerkass Woobie?
DISTRESSED WATCHER: Exactly.
Ah well. It's still a pretty nice scene. A very creepy scene too; Billy Boyd's horrified reaction just sells it:

Although I'll admit; it *does* help when it's moving. And you see the head-explodingly-awesome scene of Denethor the human comet. XD
And you hear Howard Shore's music. Sweet Jesus, the music...
Also have some scenes for my meta fic, including when Elijah has his first nightmare. In the behind-the-scenes stuff, I've heard that Elijah has pretty good Instant Waking Skills. He can sleep anywhere, and then if you say, "Elijah", he just goes, "Oh! Scene! Right!" I'm thinking it'd be the same thing with nightmares. That he'd pretty instantly recognize his surroundings and go, "Oh. It's just a bad dream."
And also a pretty awesome scene with the cast singing "Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes" while charging into battle against the Fire Nation. Don't ask why; it's just awesome. XD
Anyways, I'd better go. Later. ;-)
