On the subject of KOTOR, MExile/Atris/Handmaiden. First time I played as a male Exile, I pretty much flipped out when I saw her torturing the Handmaiden and ended up killing her. Not exactly a light side thing to do, really, but there you go. I'd say it turned out badly just because of how out of control it got.
I guess it doesn't help that re: Handmaiden, I felt kind of protective towards her. There were always characters I felt protective towards, like Bastila, Visas Marr, Mission, etc. And there was something about Handmaiden that always broke my heart. Her mother died at Malachor (and if you believe the Kreia-is-Kae theory, faked her death and is now basically the Chessmaster of the game), Revan killed her dad, and she was bullied by her half-sisters thanks to something that wasn't her fault (I mean, it was hardly her fault that her dad basically cheated and that was how she was born. People can't help how they're born, really). And there was definitely that sort of sheltered, innocent quality to her that doesn't, mind you, undermine her ability to kick some ass. So yeah, I adore Handmaiden. It sucks that without a mod, she can't travel with the Female Exile.
