Nostalgia Critic/Nostalgia Chick. I like a lot of other Nostalgia Critic ships (well, except Ask That Guy and Critic. It just isn't my cup of tea, I will admit. Sorry, Ask That Guy/Critic fans!), but there's definitely something about their interactions that I really love. Stuff like the Ferngully review, for instance (I think it's my favorite of their moments if only because it was the first I watched, and I found the way they played off each other absolutely hilarious), and the Moulin Rouge review (seriously, everyone played off one another beautifully, but Critic and Chick...there's a certain magic to it that really makes it stand out, IMHO). Not to mention the sort of Aw Look They Really Do Love Each Other moments in a twisted way (because they're both not really emotionally healthy people), such as in the Bratz review, when Critic sort of reveals the real reason he did it (to sort of give her a feeling of accomplishment in terms of her making it through a terrible movie. I know; let's say that it makes sense in the context of the review), as well as their hug. Also, their interactions at the beginning of To Boldly Flee, also known as one of my favorite parts of the movie in a movie that is...honestly really good. Near-perfect in fact. The characters, etc.
But anyway, yeah, much love for Critic/Chick. Seriously, one of my first TGWTG pairings, and I doubt it'll die down any time soon.
Day 21: Favorite opposites attract couple
That's actually a pretty broad question. In terms of different people falling in love? Doctor/Rose, Eric/Ariel, Beast/Belle, John Smith/Pocahontas, Martha/Rose, Christian/Satine, Mal/Inara, and Kovu/Kiara, because they have likable characters, lovely dynamics, can be incredibly funny at times, and are just really sweet ships, IMHO. (I think Kovu/Kiara was another one of my first ships, because I was a huge sucker for forbidden love) In terms of couples who start out not getting each other before growing to get each other? Thorin/Bilbo, Beast/Belle, and Han/Leia. I think I actually have a lot of opposites attract couples because I find them really, really interesting. Provides a very interesting narrative, I think.
