I'll admit that I wasn't planning to see the remake at first, but after I read the entry on TV Tropes and I heard the word "micronaps"...I was pretty much sold from there. XD That, and the acting wasn't that bad, and the story was not only good, but --dare I say it -- better than the original. Especially when they delved into Freddy's origins a little more. :)
I guess my only regret about the remake was that there were some badass deleted scenes they didn't keep. But then again...that's moviemaking in general. You have great scenes you want to keep, but they end up going in the end. :(
