Yeah, I think that even people who don’t like “Batman Returns” have to admit that Pfeiffer knocked it out of the park.

I haven’t seen the Angelina Jolie film version yet, but yes, the original Maleficent is definitely awesome. ^^

I’m surprised that her human form, Vanessa, isn’t more popular or doesn’t get that much attention.

And heck yes. The original Maleficent definitely made quite the impact on me when I was a kid -- I remember originally seeing the transforming-into-a-dragon scene in the film and going, "Oh, heck yes, this is so awesome!" The new movie takes a lot of liberties with the story (some which bothered me, like the fairies' portrayal) but it's still really entertaining.
And yes, her human form, Vanessa, is great too. I mean, she nearly would have won too if Scuttle and the others hadn't interfered.
