<pDev Patel wasn't a terrible Zuko, but here's the problem:&nbsp;In the cartoon, it's obvious that everything in the Southern&nbsp;Water Tribe (from Sokka's wolf-tail and facepaint to Katara's hair loopies) is inspired by Inuit culture.&nbsp;The Air Nomads are based off Tibetan monks (look at their <em>clothes</em>, dammit!). And the Fire Nation is East Asian.

Plus,&nbsp;Dev seems more Sokka than Zuko. Seriously, look at him:

Plus, he's played some comedic roles before (<em>Skins</em>, for example). I don't think he'd have any trouble capturing Sokka's character.&nbsp;:)</p> Some of the other points you raise do have some validity, though I think I would need to see the movie again to see how strongly they strike me as stereotyping (as opposed to a ham-fisted attempt at worldbuilding).
