I don't understand why the Titanic was even involved. Couldn't they have just set the story on any nameless ship in the early 20th century? Why pick the Titanic, which was a real-life ship and a real-life disaster? Just because it's famous?

But yeah, the dumb explanations for the talking animals, the shark gangs, the giant octopus, the lack of synchronicity when it came to certain characters' voices (was this movie dubbed?), not to mention the blank, vacuous face of Elizabeth (Snow White had more lifelike facial expressions than she did!) all combined to ensure that this movie was not good.
