"There was too much Vader in him." And it hurt Han to say it, but he knew that after what Ben had done to Takodana, it was the truth -- even some of the instances of things Ben did that he had minimized, overlooked. Time to get out of denial, Solo, and face the truth.

Thanks! Han kind of gets a bad rap in the fandom, so I figured I'd tell his side of things. My personal headcanon (based on the script) is that he thought he was fooling himself re: his son until Leia gave him a bit of faith that he could save him. The Han-Kylo relationship has always fascinated me, so I figured I'd write some more stuff about it.

It had taken some time to find the base where Supreme Leader Snoke was -- Leia had to admit that she didn't know exactly why he would situate his base of operations in such a wasteland, but it didn't matter; they had found him, they could kill him and end the war.

Standing before the monster that had effortlessly infiltrated the one place on Yavin IV where Leia thought Ben would be safe, Leia finds the blaster shaking in her hands, not in fear -- she is not afraid of this beast -- but in anger; this is the man responsible for so many deaths, this is the man who hurt her boy, her wonderful boy, and she couldn't protect him from this monster...

Snoke looks down at her from his throne, and a deceptively pleasant sort of smile comes across his face (scarred from the duel with Yoda long ago) as he speaks: "General Organa. It has been some time, hasn't it?"

Oooh, excellent. And poor Leia. I just want to slap the smug out of Snoke. (Say that three times fast!)
