NaNoWriMo updates

Currently have 22,878 words. Jesus. Anyway, things went better than they did yesterday, though I do wish I could stop torturing my protagonist so much. I mean, yikes, I am just putting her through enough crap even before the present day starts up. Hopefully I can tone it down in the rewrite if need be. Still, poor Diana. I might have to watch something funny because I am really making things for her a long Trauma Conga Line.

Good for you! And yeah, I likewise love to torture *in writing*. It scares me sometimes. There's likely some psychological reason for this, but psychology wasn't very interesting to study in school or now.

Thanks! And yeah, same here. I've definitely done this in the past, of course, but here, it's kind of like "Oh my God, I am really going too far!" It doesn't help that I worry about adding in unnecessary stuff. Granted, a climate like this (in-story, at least, with werewolves hating and distrusting humans), it's no wonder she'd get really put through Hades, but still...

I like psychology myself, but honestly, the psychology class I had when I was still starting college was awful. I would not take it again.
