You're welcome. :) Honestly, that really kind of bugged me, and that's why I wanted to write about it. Because honestly? It's a mentality that needs to end.
And honestly, I didn't even think of that idea. That just makes it worse. And regarding RLM, I think he made some pretty valid points on the prequels, but yeah...I don't think he should be forced (no pun intended) on people who like the prequels. I mean...really.
And thanks. :) I guess saying the Jedi are no better than the Sith is a bit harsh, I guess, but a lot of their actions in the PT really bugged me. I guess I'm growing to sympathize with them a bit more, but at the same time...yeah. I really wish Lucas could have gone into more detail about how Yoda became who he was by the time ESB and ROTJ rolled around -- I mean, Dooku was his Padawan, and pretty beloved in the Order from what I heard. Even putting the latter aside, why wouldn't Yoda want to save him?
That's probably one thing that the EU improves on -- DARK RENDEZVOUS going into a bit more detail on Yoda and Dooku's relationship and how Yoda lost faith in the concept of redemption. Still, I would have preferred it if it were in the films.
That said, I think black and gray sums it up pretty well, really. Well said. :)
