Very good points. TBH, I mostly saw it as a parable for how, exactly, madmen get into power. Taking advantage of desperate situations. I guess it's not the problem of the people ruling Gotham City, but the men they put their trust in to help them (seriously, why Bane and Scarecrow?).

And yes, Catwoman was amazing. :3
